Dear Sir or Madam,
I want to thank you for providing a much-needed gathering place in
Withamsville! You seem to have the staying power that other tenants in
the building have never been able to produce; the food, atmosphere, people
and service make your restaurant a place my friends and family visit at
least once, if not twice, a week. It is especially nice to have a
place other than a traditional bar or nightclub that is open late where
"twentysomethings" can meet after work for drinks or a dinner with
the parents. I started coming to your restaurant on Mother's Day,
when my fiancee and I took our families to brunch. We were
impressed, and have been going ever since. We even
celebrated our college graduation there!
I think the food deserves a much high rating than the Enquirer review gave it!
I don't think they quite got your casual-yet-elegant vibe, but I sure do!

My wife and
family enjoy eating out quite often and make it a point to try new spots
after they have settled in a little and hopefully fine tuned their
operation. We have been to Great Scott twice for Brunch on Sunday and
now once in the evening during the week. Your excellent menu choices
make it difficult for us to decide on a favorite item. After ordering last
evening I found myself having the waiter bring the menu back so I could
work toward what I would order on my next visit. Each of our visits were
quite satisfactory with your excellent food (quantity and quality) and
service. Co-owner Laura Krauser actually came by our table twice in
making sure all was well for our visit and it was easy to tell she did
really want satisfied customers. We have read the two restaurant reviews
posted and didn't feel either gave you justice. We would give you a
"four-star" rating and are doing our share in
"word-of-mouth" advertising to get more people to come and
experience your new abode. Keep up the great work and we hope your
endeavor is prosperous and lasting!
We were looking for a great place on the East
side of town for the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding. When
we heard about Great Scott we decided to give it a try. After we
visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening, we knew we had found the
perfect place. Laura was great in assisting us in the planning of the
event and the upstairs dining room (which we were able to reserve for the
party) provided a private and comfortable atmosphere for the dinner.
The staff were great as they were able to serve our party of over 40 very
quickly and accurately. And of course, the food was outstanding.
I would highly recommend Great Scott to anyone for a group party or special
event!
